Question 69
Rights
What are two examples of civic participation in the United States?

Civic participation means actively helping shape your community and country. You can vote in elections, run for office to lead, join a political party, or help with a campaign to support candidates. Join a civic group or community group to solve local problems together. Give an elected official your opinion, contact elected officials, support or oppose an issue or policy, or write to a newspaper—all of this will make your voice heard in democracy.
