Question 55
Courts
How long do Supreme Court justices serve?

Supreme Court justices do not have a set term of service. They can stay on the Court for the rest of their lives, until removal through impeachment, or until retirement. A lifetime appointment is designed to keep judges independent and free from worrying about elections and the political climate in the country.
